Best Poster Award for Albert Ratajzcak

Albert Ratajzcak, Ph.D. student at the Peter Grünberg Institut 9 (PGI-9 Semiconductor Nanoelectronics), has won the best poster award at the „European Workshop for Metalorganic Vapor Phase Epitaxy”. The conference took place in Grenoble, France between 18. – 20. June 2017.

He received the award for his poster entitled „Investigation of MOVPE grown Ge1Sb2Te4 thin films“, which visualized the properties of the growth process and the characteristics for this new epitaxial alloy Ge1Sb2Te4. This alloy has great potential for future low energy consumption non-volatile memory applications based on resistive switching. He is supervised by Hilde Hardtdegen and working in the group compound semiconductors for information technology. Further authors are Martina von der Ahe and Detlev Grützmacher.

The international workshop is the leading European conference for state of the art epitaxy of compounds by metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy and is visited by researchers from academia as well as industry. The conference was organized by Institute of Nanoscience and Cryogenics of the CEA-Grenoble.
