Superconductivity and correlated electrons
Strongly correlated electron systems are those where strong electron-electron correlations play a major role in determining the ground state electronic and magnetic properties of the solid. Unconventional superconductors including recently discovered Fe-pnictides, heavy Fermion superconductors, and multiferroics are a few classic examples of strongly correlated electron systems.
